About Me
I'm Winta Matteous-Mebrahti, an award-winning, multilingual Eritrean-Swedish journalist, copywriter, designer and fashion enthusiast. I'm a result-driven storyteller with proven experience in multimedia content creation for publications and global brands. Working at the intersection of lifestyle, fashion, art and travel comes naturally to me.
My credits as a travel and lifestyle reporter/editor include Swedish Elle, Elle Decoration, DoNorth magazine, The New York Times Student Journalism Institute and Lexington Company's The Journal.
I'm the former editor-in-chief of DoNorth magazine, PenAir’s in-flight travel magazine run by SUNY Plattsburgh students. I was one of two NABJ's 2016 Salute to Excellence finalist for Collegiate Feature Reporting.
My design and copy editing skills were put to use at Johnson Newspapers, but said skills were further developed by working closely with seasoned journalists and editors from The New York Times through their Student Journalism Institute.
Besides writing, editing and painting, I spend my free time finding the perfect pair of high heels to add to my assemblage of shoes.
If I've piqued your interest, please drop a line or two.
I'm here to bring your content dreams to life.
